Korzonek: Moorland, nature trail and rope park

Korzonek is defined above all by its landscape and nature experiences: Bagno w Korzonku, a nature trail and the attractions of Park Korzonek give the place a distinctive character. Park Korzonek is part of the “Lasy nad Górną Liswartą” Landscape Park. The Konopka Valley in the Korzonek area is also within a municipal zone for the conservation and protection of areas with high natural and landscape value. These designations place Korzonek within a landscape whose natural and scenic value is explicitly taken into account.

One particularly distinctive landscape feature is Bagno w Korzonku. Covering more than 12 hectares, this peat bog lies west of the village’s built-up area, between the Konopka and Olszynka streams, and is included in the Natura 2000 programme. Its protected bog plants include round-leaved sundew, marsh rosemary, cranberry and bog bilberry. The bog’s location, area and plants give it a distinctive place among Korzonek’s nature attractions.

A marked route for walkers and cyclists

The Konopiska municipality established the “Bagna i torfowiska - Korzonek–Leśniaki” nature trail for walkers and cyclists. It is about 8.5 kilometres long and marked with white-and-green squares. When planning your trip, you can take both the approximate route length and the marker colour into account. The name puts marshes and peat bogs centre stage; at the same time, the route offers a practical way to include Korzonek in a longer walk or cycle ride.

Walks, educational games and a rope park

Park Korzonek offers nature walks and interactive educational games. There is also a rope park, with courses of varying difficulty set among natural woodland. One of the routes is about 90 metres long and reaches a maximum height of 3.5 metres. These measurements apply to one route; they do not describe all the courses.
