The central rectangular market square is now named Plac Kazimierza Wielkiego. Streets branch off from its corners. Its clear shape and the street layout make the square a distinctive feature of the townscape. Two Churches, Different Historical Periods
The Church of St Nicholas is a rubble-stone church dating from the first half of the 17th century. It is considered the oldest historic monument in the municipality. Its features include a Baroque columned altar, Baroque sculptures and paintings, and a shingled roof. Its construction, roof and furnishings offer different ways to consider the church from a historical and architectural perspective: the rubble-stone building belongs to a different architectural period from the Baroque elements inside.
The Neo-Gothic Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel stands in the centre of Przyrów. It was built between 1908 and 1911 and consecrated in 1911. Inside are Baroque altars and a Baroque pulpit. There is also a 16th-century figure of the Suffering Christ. The church thus combines its early 20th-century construction with furnishings from much earlier centuries.
The different historical periods are particularly evident when the churches are compared: Świętego Mikołaja is the older church, while Kościół NMP Szkaplerznej was built at the beginning of the 20th century. At the same time, some of the furnishings date back further than the construction of the newer church.
