Manor House and Manor Farm History
The manor farm complex was already in existence in the 18th century, and its origins may be even older. The present-day manor house was built between 1816 and 1829 at the initiative of Zofia Oborska, the partner of the town’s then-owner, Ignacy Morski. In 1887, the then-owner Stanisław Jędrzejowicz had the building remodeled and extended to a design by Tadeusz Stryjeński. The manor house’s history thus includes several clearly distinct phases: its construction in the early 19th century and its later remodeling and extension.
The landscape park surrounding the manor farm also has a long history: it dates back to the late 18th century. Among its notable trees is a stately London plane tree with a trunk circumference of 500 cm. The long history of the manor farm complex, the manor house and the park offer different points of reference for discovering Jasionka through its architectural and landscape history. The Shelter in Its Historical Context
Another part of the town’s history dates to 1892. That year, Stanisław Jędrzejowicz donated a plot of land to the Siostry Służebniczki ze Starej Wsi and had a house built in Jasionka to serve as a shelter for poor Catholic children. The shelter had a chapel from 1892, for the donors, the manor farm and the children at the institution.
