Preserved buildings in Stramnica

Several cottages and farm buildings provide tangible points of reference for the village’s history. One preserved cottage dates from the mid-19th century and is marked as No. 1. A barn and a farm building date from the first half of the same century; they are numbered 2 and 4. There is also another cottage from the mid-19th century, No. 37. The different construction dates show that the surviving buildings do not all belong to the same period.

Stramnica is also home to a Protestant cemetery dating from the mid-19th century. Together with the cottages and farm buildings, it forms another part of the village’s historic character. Those interested in regional architecture and local history will find several different points of interest here, rather than the village’s history being reduced to a single building.

Landscape and trails in the surrounding area

Between Kądzielno and Stramnica lies the only surviving section of wood-rush beech forest in the municipality. This stretch of forest is in the vicinity of Stramnica. In 2017, a field path between Stramnica and Kądzielno was described as an appealing walking or cycling route.

Korzystno is home to a Neo-Gothic church dating from 1866; the complex includes a former churchyard cemetery laid out in the same year, with a distinctive brick wall. The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Karcino is another Neo-Gothic building, dating from 1869.
