Brójce has a cultural point of interest in its municipal cultural institution and library. Musical initiatives and an event broaden the picture of the town to include the wider context of Gmina Brójce. When planning your trip, it is worth distinguishing between institutions in Brójce and examples from Bukowiec.

Cultural institution in Brójce

The Gminny Ośrodek Kultury (GOK) in Brójce is a municipal cultural institution. Its address is Brójce 39 B, 95-006 Brójce. The GOK comprises the Dom Kultury (cultural center) and the Biblioteka Publiczna (public library), both in Brójce. The cultural center and library are therefore administratively part of the same institution, but remain two clearly distinct facilities. If you are finding your way around locally or asking specifically about one of them, their Polish names can help you identify the right one.

Library: opening hours and online catalog

Since January 1, 2026, the Biblioteka Publiczna in Brójce has been open five days a week: Mondays from 11:00 to 19:00, Tuesdays from 8:00 to 16:00, Wednesdays from 11:00 to 19:00, Thursdays from 10:00 to 16:00, and Fridays from 11:00 to 17:00. Opening hours vary by day of the week. So, if you are considering a library visit, plan it for the appropriate day and check the schedule before setting off.

The library provides an online catalog of its holdings through the MAK+ library system. You can use it to explore the collection and prepare your search before a possible visit. The opening hours and online catalog serve different purposes: the schedule helps you choose a suitable day to visit, while the catalog provides a way to search the library's holdings.

Culture across the municipality

One example of culture in the wider municipal area is Dzień Ziemniaka in Bukowiec. The 18th edition took place there on October 4, 2025; the event is firmly established in the cultural calendar of Gmina Brójce. Dzień Ziemniaka is therefore associated with a different place than the GOK and library in Brójce. If you are planning a future stay, check the event dates against your travel dates.

One way to take part in music yourself is to join Orkiestra Dęta OSP Kurowice. The ensemble welcomes new members, including beginners and experienced musicians. Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays from 19:30 to 21:30 at the GOK in Brójce. Instruction on wind instruments and musical development under the guidance of an experienced bandleader are offered. If you are considering taking part, arrange your participation directly with the ensemble.

The vocal group “Bukowianki” is also part of the cultural life of Gmina Brójce. It was founded in 2005 at the initiative of the Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich in Bukowiec, performs folk and Biesiada songs, and is affiliated with the Gminny Ośrodek Kultury of Gmina Brójce. Its origins in Bukowiec and its affiliation with the municipality's GOK refer to two different places. With its repertoire, the vocal group complements the opportunity to take part musically in the wind ensemble.
