Culture and History

The palace in Skoczów dates from the early 19th century and is located in a park. Due to its high architectural and historical value, it was deemed eligible for inclusion in the heritage register.

According to a document from 1276, Skoczów was created by the merger of two or three Slavic villages or hamlets called Zambowe, Zeliciz and Speprav, which were later collectively referred to as Schotsow.

In the 15th century, Skoczów was owned by the Benedictine nuns of Kołobrzeg. After the Reformation and the secularization of the monastery's property, Skoczów became a noble residence.
